Metrologic MS1633 Bluetooth Scanner

The new MS1633 Focus BT is the cordless version of the high performance omni-directional hand-held scanner MS1690 Focus. The very sturdy scanner uses CMOS technology to scan the bar codes. This makes it a lot faster than normal hand-held scanners. It is the perfect choice for applications that require highest performance, such as in industrial environment or heavily used scan stations – now also wireless!

Metrologic’s new MS1633 Focus BT provides perfect power for scanning in professional applications - without the tangle of cables! The omnidirectional scanner decodes virtually all of today‘s standard bar codes regardless of orientation. Due to the integrated Bluetooth RF-technology, all scanned data is transmitted to the base station with­in a range of 10metres. For capturing and transmitting images, the Focus combines a high-resolution CMOS sensor with an extremely powerful processor that provides a wide array of outputs at high rates of speed.

When designing Focus BT, the goal was to leap frog the competition and develop a new set of standards providing users unique, time-­saving and technological advancements, meeting the needs of today‘s marketplace and for years to come. Therefore, the Focus shows a clear advantage over laser scanners and conventional area imager scanners and is significantly easier and safer to use: At first, is this scanner omni-directional which means that you do not have to orient the scanner along a certain angle to the bar code, but just aim at it. It scans even poorly printed, dirty, uneven, or torn bar codes from up to 23centimetres distance in a split second. Secondly, instead a simple laser beam, the MS1633 Focus uses an area imager scanner to scan the whole bar code as one piece for decoding. This is a lot faster than conventional laser scanners.

By omitting the moving mirror optics that is usually used in laser scanners, the MS1633 Focus is particularly insusceptible. This makes it an excellent choice for inhospitable environments, such as warehouses, production facilities and workshops. Even repeated drops from 1.6m on concrete do not have an impact on its reliability. The black, rubber-protected housing is easy to clean and equipped with a sealing against dust particles.

The included Bluetooth-dongle guarantees professionell Data transmission to the host. Also included into the shipment there are two batteries and a single-charger-station for a nearly endless using of the Focus BT. As the MS1690 is often used in dirty or tough environments, it is only available in black.
