The MS5145 is a powerful single-line hand-held bar code scanner for all popular bar code types. A compact housing and a vast range of programming and connectivity options make it the perfect all-round scanner for many typical bar code applications.

With its modern laser engine, the MS5145 has a larger scanning range and wider scan field than CCD scanners. It provides aggressive scanning at high rates and can even read high resolution or small bar codes without errors. This allows not only cash desk applications, but also for instance at the jewellers’ or for scanning tiny electronic components or mechanical elements.

Its design and compact housing allow application even under the most undesirable conditions: Repeated drops from 1.5 m on concrete do not have an impact on its reliability. A sealed housing protects from air pollution and dust. The MS5145 has an operation temperature range from - 40°C to 60°C, and thus covers the whole range of food logistics storage temperatures. The low weight of only 97 g makes it one of the lightest available hand-held scanners, and ergonomically improves daily operation efficiency.

Two available scanning modes auto-trigger and CodeGate make practical application a lot easier. The auto-trigger mode activates the scanners infrared sensor as soon as a bar code enters the scanning range. Then the scanner scans the bar code and transmits it to the computer. No buttons need to be activated on the user-side.

The optional CodeGate function first buffers all scanned data, and once the user presses the CodeGate button, the scanned data is released and transferred to the computer. Ergonomically situated on top of the scanner’s housing, users conveniently use their thumb to press the button. This feature is especially intended for very small bar codes, menu scanning or document scanning.

The MS5145 Eclipse has all necessary accessories included: The PowerLink cable can be changed according to the users’ needs, and the MetroSet2 software provides a user-friendly programming interface for the scanner. The included software »Data Parsing« processes scanned information individually and makes data integration a lot more easy. A user‘s manual with programming bar codes allows easy on-site configuration.
